What is the procedure of buying property in Greece?

Once you choose your property with our help and decide to buy it, you will sign the preliminary contract. It specifies the basic information about the property, the buyer and the seller, the price and the amount of the deposit (usually 10 to 30% of property value). Among the major costs of buying are attorney fee, which can be from 0.5 to 1% of the agreed value of the property (+23% VAT). Usually the buyer is due to pay the notary fee of 1.2% of the agreed value of the property. Once the preliminary contract conditions are met, the buyer and the seller in the presence of a lawyer and notary finalize the deal and sign the contract for sale.
